So, I have been tagged a couple times and I am FINALLY following through! Sorry, life has been just busy, busy! I do enjoy reading all the tags and getting to know friends better! Here it goes:
The rules of the game are the following: Each player LIST 5 FACTS/HABITS about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
#1. Habit
A habit that I have always had and will always have, is one that re-occurs nightly and will for the rest of my life, and if for some reason I am unable to do this for myself, please know friends and family (care giver) that it is a must for me, thanks…. I have to wash my face, brush my teeth, go to the bathroom and get a sip of water in that routine every night before my mind will think about settling into a dream. I have to do it no matter where I am for the night. Some of you might think, that’s normal, but if you’ve been to college, been on road trips, or had slumber parties, it’s not normal for everyone. Which, is just fine, just a must for me. I think it stems from my dad asking every night as a kid “Did you brush your teeth, wash your face, go to the bathroom?” Thanks dad…in all ways seriously. I just don’t like the feeling of dirt sitting on my face sinking into every pore all night or waking up with what looks like gnarley black eyes because of smashed and rubbed eye make-up through the night!
#2. Fact
I was the only girl with THREE brothers. I have brothers who love me beyond words and have always looked out for me. At times in life of course, I could have or would have thought otherwise, but now I know it was to make me tough, and protect me:) To give you a quick glimpse or idea of my youth I had my eyes poked at (at an age I could not even really respond), sat on, had my blanket stolen over and over, got chunks cut out of my hair for “hair cuts,” and any boy that liked me was beat up. Haha. My brothers and I also have fantastic memories of playing in the back yard, sand box (…is there a kid out there that has never had at least a teaspoon of sand in there eye?) trips together, swimming, the “bubble gum game,” and playing in the canal. I’m grateful for them and all they’ve taught me and for loving and including Brad as brother to them!
#3. Habit
I have bad handwriting. It’s a bad habit, not one I like or have ever wanted to have. In middle and high school everyone wrote notes with cute handwriting, neat pens and cool ways to fold up their notes, usually on cool paper. My handwriting always was ugly; it goes from trying to be “cute’ to half cursive to fast and sloppy back to trying too hard. I never had cool pens or paper either though, but that’s because I didn’t ever care. Except, I think I made an exception for my friend Kacey for her birthday and for a Senior Graduation Friend Letter. Haha. I’ve gotten a little better handwriting over time.
#4. Fact
I am OPPOSITE of my family, friends, and especially Joanna, in the movie department. They all love movies and can remember actors, actresses, scenes, quotes, years they came out etc. I am lucky if I remember the literal name of a movie I watch A DAY AGO. Movies are fun to see and fun to go do, but kind of wash out of my head right after I see them. I was the roomie in college that would say I’m going to get my PJ’s on, when everyone started a movie about 10:30 pm, and they would all say “Good night Kim.” Obviously knowing I’d rather just go to bed, which I did and was my plan. Brad knows he has to just accommodate with bringing the lap top into bed to watch a movie so he can be with me and I can “pretend to watch for a minute and fall asleep, still by his side.
#5. Fact
I married to the most wonderful man. He knows all my quirks and just what I need all the time. He works and studies so hard for our family. He is brilliant, but won’t mention anything about it. He got into one of the top Pharmacy schools in the U.S. and was in the TOP percentage of all those took the PCAT in the nation. He is very caring for ALL and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt. He rocks in the hurdles…all track and field. He adores our little girl already (still in the womb.) He sticks up for her already when I try and push her around so she’ll move for him. He says "Let her just sleep, she doesn’t want to be bugged right now.” What the!? He loves the gospel and is so faithful, he is a person anyone can rely on and trust. Thanks for being so good to me babe.
****People I tag: Cardon Webb, Brad Martin, Megan Hughes, Cody Shepard and Whitney Blake
