TRIATHLON

SWIM 1mile * BIKE 25 miles * RUN 6miles

This weekend was so fun! My friend Heather and I have been training for a triathlon together this summer. I have done sprint triathlons, but wanted to do an Olympic distance and so did she. So we went for it and now the task is COMPLETE! Heather had enough energy to smile and wave in every picture, she probably could have done another one that night :)

It rained the whole time... actually that whole day on Saturday. Which is a bummer because... what today is... 80's outside I think. Anyway, it wasn't bad. The rain made it exciting! Man were we wet, never even had a chance to dry from the swim.

Milah had a great time with all the action and people and loved running up and down the hotel hallways. She had seen people running all weekend and was pumping her arms with a serious fast face! :) She wouldn't let go of the trophy I won, which is funny, I gave it to her. I got 1st place in the novice group. They called my name during the awards when I was shoving my face in the free Spaghetti lunch. After all that I was starving! It was a really rewarding weekend. Not everything was bells and whistles, my quads kept on cramping up in my run. That was a bummer, I know I could have ran faster, oh well- next time! There will be a next time, I'm addicted these races are fun!

After the race we went to a J Crew outlet Heather found out about and we bought us some new clothes! Triathlon + Shopping= perfect day. We all went out to dinner to celebrate! We had game night and then crashed in the hotel. It was a fun weekend! Good job Heather, we did it!

Thank you Brad, Milah and Rich for standing in the rain all morning:) Oh, and thank you Milah for all the snuggles and love after I finished the race! She kept seeing me at each transition and couldn't figure out why I wouldn't stop and kept speeding right past her! ha. She is so cute.
