My Gramps passed away this week, so I wanted to leave a blog telling him how much we love him and appreciate him.
He was so patient, just like my dad is, really soft spoken and sweet.
He did little things to express his love for you (again just like my dad does), like my DVD he sent me from National Geographic, titled In The Womb. Coolest movie.
He is so kind and a great cook. I remember when he "babysat" Logan and I with Granny while my parents were away and he got up EVERY morning with goofy hair and morning eyes just to make me a REAL breakfast before I left to school at 7:30 a.m. We also have enjoyed his love for his fabulous Mexican food and recipies.
* Oh, I must add his excelent Ginger Snap cookies, which I made last night and I am in heaven.
Another beautiful memory, swinging any time of day on his hammock in the back yard and he would just chat and chat with you and the way he's never stopped calling me "KIMMIE."
This might be funny,... but we will miss his flat- no bum (his pants always were flat in the back, SO CUTE) and the way he blinks a lot when he talks to ya. (Dad probably explains why you have such dry eyes.)
His love for his wife, a wonderful example of unconditional love, no matter the cirumstance. His love for his family.
We will love him forever and keep his little Mexican traditions going for life. He is a wonderful person.
Thank you Gramps for being the man and Father you were for my Dad, for he is has taken your example and is the best Dad ever.
XOXO
